Wolves Drop Bluebirds, 2-1
|
Les Paul Field featured a tense pitchers' duel.
Nashville wasted a solid 6-inning effort from starting pitcher Bob Loblaw, losing to Madison, 2-1, at Les Paul Field. Carter Morris, 2-1, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings.
Gary Keller, who is tied for 4th in the FL in stolen bases with 10, had a direct impact on the outcome. Keller contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning to put Madison up, 2-0.
"Tough loss," said Nashville manager Brent Ross. "But that's how the cookie crumbles."
The win lifts Madison to a record of 12-13.
