The Twin Cities River Monsters topped the Chicago Black Sox, 4-0, in Frick League action at Land O' Lakes Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Twin Cities pitcher and Sydney, Australia, native Edward Crutcher. Crutcher, the winner, moves to 11-5. He threw 6 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up no walks.

Early in the game, left fielder Aaron Haney had a solo home run for Twin Cities. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the River Monsters on top, 1-0.

"Edward was throwing free and easy," said Twin Cities manager Gerald Brandt.
