San Fernando third baseman Félix Ramos pounded Bikini Krill pitchers at Chico's Bail Bonds Field, but it was not enough to keep the Bears from falling, 7-6, in Game 1 of the Geoghegan Round. Ramos was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 runs, though he couldn't keep the Bears from slipping to a 1-0 deficit in the best-of-5 series.

Bikini used a timely hit from Farid bin Mubarak to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Krill ahead, 7-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"You can't hate how you win if you win," said Bikini skipper Kate Fiscus.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Chico's Bail Bonds Field in San Fernando.
