Bluebirds Clip Mad Popes 3-2 in CC Contest
The Nashville Bluebirds and the Sacramento Mad Popes will take the Cartwright Cup to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the Bluebirds beat the Mad Popes 3-2 at Les Paul Field to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Nashville left-hander Mark Lolololo had a big role in the win. He threw 6.0 innings allowing 2 runs.

In the bottom of the sixth, Colby Triska delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and a runner on 2nd, the Nashville second baseman hit a run-scoring single, putting the Bluebirds in front, 3-2.

"We'll savor this win," Triska told the Nashville Times, "then get ready for the next game."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Les Paul Field in Nashville.
