Twin Cities Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in DS
With starter Erik Brooks leading the charge, the Twin Cities River Monsters defeated the Sacramento Mad Popes, 4-1, in Game 3 of the Doubleday Series today. The right-hander threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball at Land O' Lakes Ballpark to help Twin Cities take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Brooks delivered a quality start for Twin Cities. The 6' 6" right-hander allowed no earned runs on 3 hits over 6 innings of work.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Brooks told the Twin Cities Times.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Land O' Lakes Ballpark in St. Paul.
