Outlaws Go Down to Defeat, 7-4
|
The New Orleans Crawdads beat the San Antonio Outlaws by a score of 7-4. New Orleans first baseman Zenobius Kazantziakis deserved the lion's share of the credit. Kazantziakis was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 for the Crawdads. New Orleans pitcher Steven Flannery got the win. He's now 11-4. Leland Rogers was tagged with the loss. Getting the save was Jayin Ranjani, his 9th.
New Orleans relied on the hitting of Colm Alker to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Crawdads on top, 7-4. For the game, Alker had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Kazantziakis.
With the victory, the Crawdads record now stands at 62-44.
