The Twin Cities River Monsters downed the Sacramento Mad Popes, 4-0, at The Basilica at Muskrat Slough. Twin Cities pitcher Will Ritter definitely brought his A-game. The 4th-place River Monsters now have a win-loss record of 49-56.

The River Monsters got a big at-bat from shortstop Randall Gray. For the game, Gray was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. In the top of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 13th double of the season gave Twin Cities a 1-0 lead.

"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Ritter.
