Starting pitcher Brody Picot did his part in helping the Bikini Krill thwart the Louisville Sluggers, 2-1. The winning pitcher was Picot, now 6-6. He tossed 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 6. Winston Morris closed the door for Bikini, picking up his 31st save of the year.
It could have been a different outcome for Bikini, had it not been for Kata Ishibashi, the 27-year old third baseman . Ishibashi contributed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put Bikini up, 2-0.
"Brody's stuff looked really, really crisp," said Kate Fiscus, the Krill manager.
At 62-42, Bikini is in second place in the Frick League Pacific Division.
