Aztecs Down Robins, 3-1
|
Mexico City got a first-rate effort from pitcher Jason Bergheimer, who frustrated Brooklyn hitters en route to a 3-1 Aztecs triumph at McDermott Park at Ebbets Field. Richard Lawrence collected his 24th save. The Robins have now dropped 5 straight.
Early in the game, catcher Juan Suárez had a 2-run home run for Mexico City. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Aztecs on top, 2-0.
"I play this game for myself and my family, but of course it's always nice when we can win," said Suárez.
