Pioneers Top Jimmies in Extras, 5-4

Starting pitcher Daniel Thornton pitched well enough to help the Calgary Pioneers beat the Charm City Jimmies, 5-4. With the win, Calgary pushed its record to 48-37.
Calgary won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With one out and Manuel Barrera on the mound for Charm City, first baseman Larry Stinson hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Pioneers fans to their feet.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Charm City manager Pedro Medina said following the tough loss.
