Pilots Even Record with 5-2 Victory

Sao Paulo Pilots starter Amaka Zev found his groove in his team's 5-2 win over the Sydney Sharks. Zev got the win, improving to 13-2. He gave up 2 hits and walked 3 over 8.1 innings. He allowed no runs. The win boosted Sao Paulo to 68-68.
Mario Hernándiz had a big 2-run double for the Pilots in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Sao Paulo leading 3-2 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 36-year old right-handed pitcher Chung Chan and swatted a double to center. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Pilots ahead, 5-2.
"Amaka just settled in and did what he does," said Sao Paulo manager Jesús Cabral.
