Nine Get 4-1 Win Versus Valencia
The Yellow Springs Nine downed the Valencia Stars, 4-1, at Utopia Field. Devayana Koganti led the way, going 2-for-4 for Yellow Springs. Dave Lee, the winning pitcher, improved to 2-4. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 5 hits and 1 run, while striking out 5 and walking 1. With the win, the Nine have a record of 35-45.

Koganti had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-0 fastball from Juan García, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Nine a 3-1 lead. It was the 15th home run of the year for Koganti.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Koganti told the Yellow Springs Today.
