Hebrew Hammers Topple Pharaohs with Late Rally
|
The Hebrew Hammers grabbed a win, 7-2, at Pyramid Park, overcoming a fine effort from Cairo pitcher Francisco Molina. Molina went 5.2 innings and allowed no runs. Jerusalem is now 73-73.
Jerusalem got the win thanks to a clutch hit from Tomás Guillén. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Hebrew Hammers ahead, 3-2. Though it was his only hit in 1 at-bat, it had a major impact on the outcome.
Guillén attributed the win to his team's "hyper resolve."
