Pearls Lose, 3-1, to Jerusalem
|
Jerusalem rode a good effort from starter Jerry Bourque to beat the Tokyo Pearls at Manama Fields. The final score was 3-1. Daniel González converted his 31st save in 33 tries. Jerusalem is now 72-71, while Tokyo is 72-70.
Tomás Guillén dealt the Pearls a blow in the top of the fourth. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Jerusalem leading 1-0, Guillén, who finished 3rd in the GBC in hits with 183 in 2054, hit a 1-2 fastball for a 2-run single.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Guillén.
