Tokyo Bats Go Silent in 3-0 Loss
|
Buenos Aires and Tokyo duked it out and the Brisas came out victorious.
The Buenos Aires Brisas got a magnificent effort from pitcher Fatin Asad, who kept Tokyo hitters in check en route to a 3-0 Brisas win at Manama Fields. Asad picked up the win for Buenos Aires, going 6.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 7-5.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Erik Robertsen? The Buenos Aires left fielder had a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put the Brisas on top, 1-0. For the game, Robertsen had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Asad told the Buenos Aires Daily.
The 4th-place Brisas are now 47-55, the Pearls 56-47.
