Hebrew Hammers Rally For 6-3 Win
|
Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers starter Afzul Chishti pitched a strong game against the Sao Paulo Pilots at Ballpark of Bucharest, leading the Hebrew Hammers to victory, 6-3. Jerusalem reliever Kent Jones picked up the win, raising his record to 5-9. Uthman Amir was tagged with the loss. The Hebrew Hammers now own a record of 59-62.
Had Rajko Lovre not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Lovre hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Hebrew Hammers.
"I do my best to contribute," said Lovre.
