Hebrew Hammers Upend Thunder Bears, 5-3
|
Though he had a stellar game, Miguel De La Cruz could not prevent his team, the Moscow Thunder Bears, from losing, 5-3, to the Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers. De La Cruz was 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. The Hebrew Hammers bumped their record to 55-39 with this latest triumph.
Kwan-uk Chong had a big 2-run home run for the Hebrew Hammers in the top of the third inning. With Jerusalem leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from 31-year old right-handed pitcher Michael Richardson and punished it. The result was his 9th home run of the season, which put the Hebrew Hammers on top, 4-1.
"I think it speaks for itself, I think we came out and we played our kind of baseball," said Chong.
