The Sacramento Mad Popes defeated the Omaha Cyclones, 5-4, in Frick League action at Mordonez Ballpark. Sacramento pitcher Félix Vidaca had a standout performance. Sacramento pitcher Angus Trew got the win. He's now 4-0. Dave Ferrell was tagged with the loss. Luis Ramos converted his 6th save in 7 tries.

Badr Isam provided a timely hit. The Sacramento shortstop delivered a bases-clearing triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Mad Popes on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Isam told the Sacramento Gazette.

The Mad Popes lead the Frick League Pacific Division by 3 games.
