The Bikini Krill got a superb performance from pitcher Mahmut Binark. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Hawaii. The Tropics won the game, 4-2. Binark threw 6.1 innings allowing 1 runs. Hawaii reliever Troy Reynolds picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Bill O'Connor took the loss. Hawaii is now 77-84.

Hawaii needed the clutch hitting of Felipe Hernández to notch the win. The third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Tropics on top, 3-2. For the game, Hernández had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

When asked about his performance after the game, Hernández said: "Like everyone else, I'm just doing my job."
