Pearls Down Pharaohs, 2-1
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Tokyo Pearls and the Cairo Pharaohs, pitcher Umar Dogar was the difference between victory and defeat. The Tokyo right-hander earned accolades in the 2-1 Pearls win. With the win, Tokyo upped its record to 55-52.
The Pearls procured the win, in large part because of first baseman Adel bin Husam al Din. In the bottom of the 17th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
bin Husam al Din said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."
