Gold Double Up Hebrew Hammers, 4-2
|
Johannesburg Gold starter David bin Adnan pitched well against the Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers at Golden Palace, leading his team to a win, 4-2. Ramón Ayala closed it out for Johannesburg, earning his 2nd save. The Gold have now reeled off 7 straight wins.
Johannesburg shortstop Fred Mailing contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 34th hit of the season and put the Gold ahead, 3-2.
"It's about putting our team in the best position to win ballgames," said bin Adnan.
