Win Lifts Pearls to 47-41

Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Tokyo Pearls and Buenos Aires Brisas.
Tokyo Pearls starter Tommy Boele turned in an exceptional performance against the Buenos Aires Brisas at Manama Fields, resulting in a Tokyo win, 3-1. The winning pitcher was Boele, now 5-4. He tossed 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 3. Getting the save was Veikko Aravirta, his 7th.
Rafael Moreno, who is tied for 3rd in the GBC in triples with 5, came through for Tokyo with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first. The center fielder went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 2 RBI.
"I like what I saw today," said Tokyo manager César Valdéz, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
Tokyo has now won 4 games in a row.
