Hebrew Hammers Come Back Late to Top Brisas, 4-2
|
The Buenos Aires Brisas got a sterling performance from first baseman Ralph Simpson, but the Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers still prevailed, 4-2. Simpson went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Hebrew Hammers now have a mark of 37-29.
Jerusalem used the timely hitting of Dinh-Die^ Luong to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Hebrew Hammers on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Luong called the win a test of his team's "mettle."
