Hebrew Hammers Clip Brisas in Tight Contest, 3-1
|
The Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers got a magnificent effort from pitcher José Hernández, who kept Buenos Aires hitters in check en route to a 3-1 Hebrew Hammers win at Estadio Rico. Jerusalem now sits in 5th place in the GBC at 30-30.
Jerusalem used a clutch hit from Miguel De La Cruz to get the win. The shortstop drilled a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Hebrew Hammers ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Buenos Aires manager Bill Inkster.
