Des Moines beat Bikini at Edward Murphy Memorial Stadium, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to third baseman Félix Parreno. He went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. Des Moines is third in the Frick League Heartland Division with a record of 39-38.

Des Moines took a 4-3 lead on Alonso Flinn's 5th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Flinn hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Bikini pitcher Shea Valance visibly frustrated.

Flinn called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
