Bikini got a first-rate effort from pitcher Mahmut Binark, who frustrated Long Beach hitters en route to a 3-0 Krill triumph at Vito Costantino Memorial Stadium. Shea Valance was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 21 of 28 save opportunities. Bikini is now 72-81, Long Beach 84-69.
Binark scattered 2 hits over 8.1 innings for the Krill. With the win, Binark goes to 1-0 on the year with 3 strikeouts.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Bikini manager Richard Lawson.
