Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Nine
Yellow Springs and Des Moines duked it out and the Nine came out victorious.

The Yellow Springs Nine weathered an outstanding game by Des Moines designated hitter Wilson Alomar to topple the Kernels, 8-5. Alomar was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The win makes Yellow Springs 58-88.

This game was not decided until late. With no one out in the top of the ninth, Juan Silva hit a sacrifice fly. The Nine took the lead, 6-5.

"We'll savor this win," Silva told the Yellow Springs Today, "then get ready for the next game."
