Pérez, River Monsters Too Much for Wolves
|
The Twin Cities River Monsters defeated the Madison Wolves, 7-3, at Shotz Stadium. Twin Cities was led by 25-year old third baseman José Pérez, who hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Twin Cities has now won 4 straight.
It could have been a different outcome for Twin Cities, had it not been for Niaz Minhas, the 33-year old second baseman . Minhas contributed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put Twin Cities up, 5-3.
"The bar for us is not a particular opponent, it's ourselves," said Twin Cities manager Gerald Brandt.
