Despite a fine performance by first baseman Bastião Fardos, the Boise Spuds lost to the Rocky Mountain Oysters, 11-7. Fardos was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Nobuhito Kan earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. His record is now 3-2. Their 73-72 record puts the Oysters 6th in the Johnson League Frontier Division.

Rocky Mountain used the clutch hitting of Sid Turcotte to capture the win. The shortstop drilled a bases-clearing double in the top of the seventh inning to give the Oysters the lead, 9-7. For the game, Turcotte had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
