Pearls Improve to 26-23 with 2-0 Win
|
In a low-scoring game between Tokyo and Athens, pitcher Deron Alexander was excellent. The Tokyo right-hander helped his team knock off the Fighting Centaurs, 2-0. Veikko Aravirta recorded his 3rd save for Tokyo. The win lifted the Tokyo record to 26-23.
The Pearls prevailed in a game in which the pitchers had the upper hand.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Tokyo skipper César Valdéz.
