Brisas Top Hebrew Hammers, 3-1
|
The Buenos Aires Brisas, despite a fine performance by Jerusalem pitcher Keneki Umina, grabbed a 3-1 win at The Holy Land. Umina allowed 1 run over 8 innings. Millard MacIndeor earned his 4th save, after closing out the game. The Brisas raised their record to 17-22.
Buenos Aires used the timely hitting of Carlos Correa to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Brisas on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Buenos Aires manager Yao-qing Yuan commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."
