Pilots Knock Off Sharks at Ballpark of Bucharest

Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Sao Paulo Pilots and Sydney Sharks.
Sao Paulo Pilots starter Mrej Stavnicky was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Sydney Sharks, 4-2. Stavnicky, the winner, moves to 3-5. He threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up no walks. Iván Ruíz finished the game for Sao Paulo and earned his 9th save.
Bert Cleaver, who finished 2nd in the GBC in home runs with 36 in 2050, chipped in for Sao Paulo with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the first. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Sao Paulo skipper Dermott Dalling.
