Brisas Earn 6-5 Win Versus Fighting Centaurs
|
The Buenos Aires Brisas took Athens pitcher Max Dawe's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Estadio Rico. The final score had Buenos Aires getting past the Fighting Centaurs, 6-5. Dawe went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 6. The win went to Millard MacIndeor in relief, making him now 2-2. Gerardo Guzmán took the loss for Athens. The Fighting Centaurs fall to 11-19 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2061 season.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Buenos Aires shortstop Carlos Correa, facing Gerardo Guzmán, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Brisas the 6-5 win.
"Always feels extra good winning this kind of game," said Correa.
