Hebrew Hammers Win, 7-4, at London
|
Jerusalem catcher Patrick Faber contributed to his team's 7-4 win over the London Monarchs. Faber, who is tied for 6th in the GBC with a .955 OPS, went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Hebrew Hammers. Dileep Mirchandani earned the save for Jerusalem, his 4th of the year. After losing, London is 19-11.
Jerusalem used a clutch hit from Rusty Hutchison to get the win. The designated hitter drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Hebrew Hammers ahead, 7-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Faber.
