Twin Cities Hands Hawaii 4-1 Defeat

Twin Cities took on Hawaii in front of a lively crowd.
Jerry Stone, who is tied for 2nd in the FL with a 2.07 ERA, was locked in. The right-hander led the Twin Cities River Monsters to a 4-1 win against the Hawaii Tropics at ‘Iolani Palace. Stone picked up the win for Twin Cities, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 6-2.
Twin Cities took a 3-1 lead on Carlos Marcillas's 5th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Marcillas hit in the top of the seventh, left Hawaii pitcher Manny Ortíz visibly frustrated.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Twin Cities manager Gerald Brandt.
Twin Cities, at 32-34, holds down 4th place in the Frick League Heartland Division.
