Red Sox Win Divisional Tuesday, October 14th , 2166 Johnathan Stringer put the Boston Red Sox on his shoulders as they downed the San Diego Padres in the Divisional. Boston won the deciding game by a 4-2 count at Petco Park and wrapped up the series 3-1. Stringer played a key role in the victory, as he was named series MVP for his offensive output, which included a .316 batting average with a .350 on-base percentage, 1 home runs, 2 RBI and 3 runs scored. "I told myself it was time to step it up and help the team win and I'm glad I was able to do that," he said.
