Oakland Shuts Out Cardinals, Lambright Winner Monday, July 30th, 2125 Oakland Athletics hurler Stan Lambright was at his best as he whitewashed the St. Louis Cardinals 8-0 today. "He just kept the ball down, did a good job, made his pitches," said St. Louis manager Mark Wick. "We didn't do a good job making adjustments, so we helped him out a little bit." Lambright fired a 4-hitter and totaled 4 strikeouts and 1 walk in the shutout performance. This year Lambright has compiled a 9-8 record with a 3.09 ERA.
