Brewers Roll to 8-1 Win Over Royals
|
The Milwaukee Brewers went home winners at Miller Park, thanks in large part to starter Santiago Nava. Nava stifled the Kansas City Royals, enabling Milwaukee to grab the 8-1 win. Kansas City drops to 2-2.
Ben Lawson had a big grand slam home run for the Brewers in the bottom of the first inning. With Milwaukee leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a screwball from former first round draft pick Cenk Gökalp and swatted a home run to right. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Brewers ahead, 5-0.
"We didn't pitch good, and when you don't pitch good, you lose," said Kansas City manager Danny Espinosa.
