Giants Earn 7-4 Win Versus Houston
|
San Francisco starter Alfonso Meléndez pitched well against the Houston Astros at AT&T Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 7-4. The Giants, now 4-0, have hit the ground running this season.
The Houston Astros had some chances. With Houston trailing 7-1 in the top of the 9th, Chris Thompson hit a 2-run double. But it was too little too late for the Astros. Houston manager David Walsh said afterward that his team would learn from this latest defeat.
