Dodgers Earn 7-2 Home Win
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers get after it.
Behind a fine performance from Josh Lewis, the Los Angeles Dodgers knocked off the Atlanta Braves, 7-2. Lewis was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Dodgers. Dick Burke, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2163 draft, was the winning pitcher. Over 6.2 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 4 hits, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts.
Tony Cobb hit a run-scoring triple off Charles Bailey in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Dodgers in front, 3-2. In addition to the triple, Cobb had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.
