Whitten Hits 2 home runs in Nationals Win
The Washington Nationals began the 2168 season with a convincing 6-0 win over the Montreal Expos at Nationals Park. Most impressive was Washington right fielder George Whitten, who belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice.

With Washington leading 2-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Whitten hit a changeup from Florentin Coste for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Nationals ahead, 5-0.

"We'll sip on a cold one and savor this win," said Whitten.
