Yankees Take 13-2 Pounding
The exploits of designated hitter Doug Mitchell, who is a two-time All-Star, helped the Milwaukee Brewers defeat the New York Yankees, 13-2. Mitchell went 2-3 with a home run. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Milwaukee is now 84-58, New York 61-81.

Mitchell had a big hit for Milwaukee with two out in the bottom of the fourth. With Milwaukee leading 3-0, Mitchell hit a grand slam home run. It was his 23rd home run of the season and put the Brewers up, 7-0.
