Giants Find a Way to Win
|
Jim Wells never let Los Angeles get something going. The San Francisco left-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Giants to a 2-1 win. Mike Carter got the save, the 5th for him this season. The Giants move to 73-67 with the win, while the Dodgers drop to 66-74.
San Francisco used a timely hit from Michel Renaux to get the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Giants ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"We found a way to get it done," Renaux said.
