Anaheim pitcher Ken Corsaletti did his part in helping his team defeat the Vancouver Vandals, 2-0. The opposition could never get too much going against the left-hander. The winner was Corsaletti. He threw 5.1 innings of shutout ball. The loser was António Castro. With the win, the Angels improved to 73-60.

Kevin Robertson delivered a big hit for the Angels. The veteran first baseman belted a solo home run in the bottom of the third. The longball put Anaheim on top, 2-0. Overall, Robertson went 1-3 with a home run and a walk.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Robertson said.
