Giants Snatch Late Win
|
Montreal right fielder Willis Brown was sensational. He went 2-4 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. San Francisco beat the Expos, 7-4. At 68-61, the Giants find themselves in second place in the National League TBD.
Félix Román hit a run-scoring double off Barry Bridges in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Giants in front, 5-4. In addition to the double, Román had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"It all depends on which version of our team shows up," said Román. "When we put it all together, I think we're a great team."
