Atlanta Drops Boston, 8-0
|
Atlanta Braves starter Josh Ferris had all his pitches working at Fenway Park. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-0 Atlanta win over the Boston Red Sox. The first-place Braves bumped their record to 70-51.
Atlanta used a clutch at-bat from Danny Keith Jr. to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Braves ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
Said Boston manager Steve Spicol: "When you don't score, it's never a good thing."
