Vandals Beaten By Brewers, 6-1
|
Riding the 2-hit performance of the 25-year old center fielder Wessel Kipcak, the Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Vancouver Vandals, 6-1. After today's action, Milwaukee sits at 54-58; Vancouver slips to 54-56.
Ignacio Correa had a big 2-run double for the Brewers in the bottom of the second inning. With Milwaukee leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a sinker from Hughie Goose, who is tied for 8th in the NL with a 1.14 WHIP, and swatted a double to left. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Brewers ahead, 3-0.
Correa attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
