Late Rally by Rays Secures 5-2 Win
Tampa Bay Rays starter Ingo van Aardschot was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Minnesota Twins, 5-2. Phil Granter notched his 18th save in 21 chances. Tampa Bay is third in the National League Puddifoot with a record of 49-47.

In the bottom of the eighth, Tampa Bay designated hitter Aurelio Canonica gave his team the lead. With one out and a runner on 2nd, Parisian Bob hit his 22nd home run of the year. Minnesota pitcher Jud Matthews surrendered it. With that, the Rays jumped in front, 3-2.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Canonica said after the game.
