Rangers Advance to League Championship
|
Busch Stadium was the buzzing center of the baseball universe tonight, hosting the deciding game of the Divisional.
The Texas Rangers and St. Louis Cardinals had battled tooth and nail to arrive at the final game and in the end it was the Rangers prevailing 1-0 to move on to the League Championship.
"There's no feeling quite like winning a series in the final game," said an excited Jon Richardson, who was named series MVP. "This was two great teams and it turned out to be a great series. It's good for the fans."
For the series, Richardson had a 0.00 ERA over 9 innings pitched, with a 1-0 record.
The League Championship matchups and schedule will be announced after the Divisional finishes.
