Richardson, Rangers Take Dramatic Game 1 for 1-0 Series Lead
The Texas Rangers started the Wild Card in dramatic fashion, stealing Game 1 from the Oakland Athletics in a walk-off in the 10th inning. Texas took the 3-2 win thanks in large part to a good day from starter Jon Richardson. The right-hander threw 8.0 innings of 3-hit ball in the win, which gave the Rangers a 1-0 lead to start the best-of-3 series.

With the game on the line, Kyle Stokes came to bat in the bottom of the tenth. And the Texas catcher came through, cracking a run-scoring single off Cannon Sumner, the Oakland pitcher.

"That was intense," said Stokes.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at O.co Coliseum in Oakland.
