Loons Advance to Round 4
The Great Lakes Loons are off to the Round 4 after an exciting Round 3 triumph.

Great Lakes downed the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, but needed the entire series to do so, with a 3-2 win tonight at Dow Diamond wrapping up the series 4-3.

"It's every guy in this room that made this happen. Without us all pulling in the same direction, we don't win this series," said Jack Erickson, who earned MVP honors for a standout offensive series.

Erickson put up a .267 with a .312 on-base percentage in the series. He also had 2 home runs, drove in 5 runs and scored 3 runs himself.

The Great Lakes Loons will play against the Fort Wayne TinCaps in the next round. Fort Wayne won their series against the Kannapolis Intimidators 4 games to 2. The Round 4 schedule will be announced after the Round 3 finishes.
